2nd post

I'm definitely going to be way more diligent about blog entry publishing.

When people publish blogs, they're really living publicly. VERY publicly!!!

I'm sure that there are many people that fictionalize their blogs to make it seem more interesting. But I'm going to take the Henry Miller/Aaron Cometbus approach, and try to live an interesting life so my blog will be more interesting.

Well, today was a pretty uneventful day. I spent 3:59 hours on my exercise trike, and went 58.6 miles.

I'm now the proud owner of a Schwinn 240 recumbent exercise bike. My old Schwinn exercise bike is now sitting, totally burned-out and dilapidated in my garage. I hope I don't burn the new one out so quickly.

I'm definitely not going to bore my gentle readers by posting endless bike-stats like I've been doing lately. I'll just keep it simple with one sentence featuring the two major ride stats: time and distance.

Also, I've been inventing destinations so I can come up with a legitimate distance. For example, today I rode 12.4 miles to a restaurant in Menasha called Nauts Landing for a cup of coffee.

From there, I rode 15.1 miles to read some magazines at the Oshkosh Public Library.

I then rode 25 miles to St. Peters Lutheran church in Fond du lac to say a word of prayer...

Wednesday, October 14, 2009 - first post...

Hello,

I hope my gentle readers weren't overly alarmed by my long abscence. I haven't published any blog-entries since September... I'm a bit disappointed in myself for being such a slacker.

I'm not going to bore you with my repeated exercise log-entries. I'll probably just have one daily total.

I rode that thing so much that I wore it out, and got a new one: Schwinn 240.

This guy is inspiring:
He competed in a 412 bike race across South Dakota called GutCheck 2-12.
It was a pretty amazing feat considering that He's got chronic back pain and Ulcerative Colitis (an inflammatory bowel disease).
Plus, he did it on a recumbent trike!
